I had an opportunity to chat with Ben (one of the trainers at Bean Fitness), and I learned quite a bit! Although his degree was in exercise science kinesiology, he knew quite a bit about nutrition as well. Before talking to Ben, I had no idea vegetables act as phytonutrients, which play a part in protein transportation. This means that it's going to be extremely difficult to build muscle if you're not consuming vegetables. It is small details like these that can make a huge difference in whether you see results.
